Players are tasked with finding a delicate balance between the needs of their populace: food, shelter and safety as well as exploration to find resources in an open world- which you must run around in… The world is different every time you play, as it should be — with several unique biomes, crazy weather conditions that change minute by minute and uncontrolled events that you may be or not happy about. If you’re going to succeed in Nusnur, it is your ability to navigate through hell, manage resources effectively and make right decision that will shape the future of your people.
The heart of the gameplay loops is building and resource collection, along with taking care of newly expanding population. Colonists — Play Docs — Part 3If we want our colony to work, the players are going to have to assign colonists jobs (farming, mining, smelting etc.) and distribute labor amongst them to satisfy the needs of the colony. Craft tools, equipment and structures; the crafting system is extensive in this NUSNUR game. It is important to manage the resources properly, and ensure no shortages happen by storing them then allocating from pool accordingly. Moreover, the survival of the colony is built on having a high morale within the populace.
Perhaps, one of the coolest feature on Nusnur is all about its exploration. This game is made to be a game not only explore surroundings, see secrets the world. The world consists of a network of procedurally generated terrains capable of generating randomly, presenting endless changes and elements both inviting (for lack of better term) as risks. Exploration/Scouting consists of sending out scouting parties to map the land, notate resource deposits and check anomalous coordinates. These expeditions could be run into hostile beasts, ruins of a died civilization or maybe ancient tech aiding the colony.
NUSNUR provides a challenging and fun experience for players who like strategy games resource management & base building. Particularly in terms of long–view, flexibility and resource management needed to keep that colony alive, and feeding your need for applying complexity. The dynamic world, evolving the game and making you try something new each time, means never hitting a rut where gameplay would be boring. Alongside the elaborate crafting system, and research / discovery oriented as well exploration components offer a lot of freedom to the player and allows them to truly mold their settlement towards their strategies.
